About Penny’s Promise

Penny’s Promise is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2023 in loving memory of my daughter, Penelope Azaliah-Grace Gordon, one of the smallest surviving babies in the world. Born at just 23 weeks, 6 days and weighing only 12 oz, Penelope overcame incredible odds during her NICU journey, inspiring everyone who knew her. Despite her strength and resilience, Penelope tragically passed away at just 14 months due to negligence and inconsistencies in her care.

Her story is our foundation. Penelope's journey has driven us to ensure that no NICU infant—or their family—ever endures the journey alone. Penny’s Promise is her legacy: a commitment to support, advocate for, and uplift NICU families, turning heartbreak into hope.
